Totally over it .A very big ask and have tryed the best I can considering my work load at work and my home life.Now I am just ticking boxes to complete which really isn't right but I think management really need to realise that some colleagues have a life outside of the library and that if we are expected to do something like this we need extra staffing during work time to cover us.Isn't it all about excellent customer service?Feeling a bit p.....d off ,can you tell?

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are feeling so down about this. It is a lot to get through, I know, and some of it can be very daunting. We are trying to get team leaders on side to support you in taking the time to complete the tasks, but you aren't the first part-timer to voice these concerns. Its probably different again for you guys working in different parts of the network as with a more structured timetable in the community libraries people have managed to block themselves out and even pass on some tasks to others just for the duration of the course. Don't worry, its not something that you pass or fail, and I'm sure you will have got some understanding of what is out there, even if you haven't managed to complete all the tasks. You are right, our customers do come first, and for you, that might mean skipping some of this course to concentrate on their needs.
